There are always a ton of great shots from a photo session….but I’m liking the more candid ones more and more. There is something so beautiful in the un-posed moments of a family. My favorite thing about photography is capturing who people and kids and families really are, in that little window of their lives, not who they wish they were or who they are when bribed with candy. Sure, the posed stuff can be beautiful, but in my book that kind of beauty can’t hold a candle to the beauty of pure delight, real relationships, strong love. Who people are is often so much more beautiful than who they wish they could be.
I have a lot of thoughts about this going around my head that I’m itching to write about….but they’re going to have to wait until I get through the mounds of photo sessions waiting to be edited, family blog documenting needing to be done, kids needing to be cuddled and read to, Christmas needing to be planned. For now, check out these pictures. There were so many great more posed shots for this session, but I think the first ones are some of my favorites.
You're so right. These are brimming with emotion and love. You caught it perfectly. Un-posed.
