Cookies with Grandma Shumway

At the beginning of March my dear mother-in-law and sister-in-law Mary Ann came out to watch our kids for a few days so that Jeff and I could get away. By the time we got back I'm certain Charlie and Hazel had finally realized that they got jipped having us as parents. They were entertained and played with and showered with presents and attention, they had no idea we were even gone. Man, it feels good to be away with your husband and know your kids are being better cared for than if you were home with them.
Grandma Shumway came equipped with every kind of cookie cutter a two and three year old could ever dream of. She had bulldozers, fire engines, cars and airplanes for Charlie and teapots, letters, flowers and ballerinas for Hazel. Hazel was thrilled to have someone patiently make cookies with her and Charlie was in heaven eating everything he could get his grubby little hands on.
As you can see, she is OVER JOYED!!!

We had as much fun as the kids. It was a great weekend, even if we did follow the same funeral all over Malden and Revere!
