Opening up.

Emmeline reminds me pretty much every time she see’s Peter about how “He’s growing up!”  He most certainly is. 

Isn’t this the most beautiful sight?   Especially when I wake up to it after a full 8 hours of sleep.  Not to brag, but this baby is pretty darn dreamy.  

Shawni, prepare yourself…..you will get a major case of “I.W.A.N” after watching this little clip. 

This morning as I was changing him I noticed that his little fists were open.  Tears welled up in my eyes as I realized that that little relaxed hand, still marked on the palm from where his nails have been clenched up for so many weeks, is the beginning of the end.  He really is growing up.  My newborn days will soon be behind me.

I’m going to miss this tiny little thing like crazy, but at the same time, I’m thrilled at what else will open up as we move through this life together.
