sweet joyce

One of the greatest blessings in our lives right now is our sweet neighbor Joyce. She lives just down the street from us and is a member of our church congregation. My kids LOVE her as do I. She is so easy to be around and is really like a third grandmother to our family. She is one of those people who you just want to give to because she is so gracious and thankful and gives back so much. She really brightens our lives.
A few weeks ago she came over to our house for a little birthday party. Look at her glow. I loved how seriously she took her wish making. Oh, I love this lady.

For the past two months she has been coming over weekly to "mentor" Hazel. I think it's Hazel's favorite part of the week. They sit together at the dinning room table for a good hour and a half. Hazel has her UNDIVIDED attention (which sadly she rarely gets from me) and Joyce teaches her all kinds of things. They do crafts, or paint, or work through activity coloring books. Poor Charlie watches longing....hoping to have the same type of "mentor." I've been trying to take him on little dates or read with him during this time so that he doesn't get too jealous.

We are so thankful for Joyce.
