And then, the day that made this whole trip happen----Tal and Anita’s wedding day. It was perfect. Really, lovely in every way. These guys had thought of everything. I can’t imagine trying to pull of such a perfect wedding in such a crazy place with so many logistics and so many people. It all seemed so seamless and easy and fun. 
Before the wedding we had a great little girls brunch and discussed all of our happy’s and sad’s for the year. Then we walked down to the Manhattan Temple at Lincoln Center for the actual wedding ceremony. It was beautiful…….simple and powerful and small. I love witnessing that sacred ceremony in the Temple. I love how you enter the temple and leave all the wedding hoopla behind….suddenly everything is focused on the powerful union that is being formed between two people. And for those brief moments during that short ceremony, eternity is illuminated. 
After the ceremony Tal and Anita walked down to the park with a long trail of us following them. There were so many photographers (about half my family is really into photography) that people thought we were the paparazzi and stopped to ask family members who this couple was. 
I think people thought Anita was a model or movie star and that Tal was some big NBA player. For more pictures, check out Eva’s blog (she was the official photographer). 
They had a beautiful ring ceremony and reception out in Brooklyn at a fabulously quaint French restaurant. Everything was beautiful. I especially loved the power point presentation that Anita’s dad presented….it was funny and full of great old pictures of Anita and packed with a father’s love. And, I think my favorite part of all was the very end of the night….Tal and Anita recited one of my favorite Pablo Neruda poems, complete with the Il Postino soundtrack playing in the back ground. It was really pretty beautiful.

So here it is for the world to see: It's all your doing!! Thanks for showing him Pablo Neruda 5 years ago in Mexico - he, meaning Pablo, has become a part of our lives because of you!
